The Copper Switch-Off: What It Means For You
All UK phone lines still running on the old copper network need to move to fibre or SOGEA before the national deadline of 31 January 2027. Wholesale line prices are already rising ahead of that date, up 20% in April 2026 and by a further 40% in each of July and October 2026, so waiting is likely to cost more than acting now. We handle the migration as part of every new install, so there’s no separate project to manage later.
